Roger was born in Cape Town, South Africa and moved to New Zealand with his family at the age of 10. Roger has competed in amateur and professional wrestling, having won a national championship in 2004 and was voted New Zealand wrestler of the year in 2007. He studied at AUT where he completed papers in Applied Anatomy, Human Structure & Function, Exercise Science Prescription. His mother is a medical scientist, specializing in Histology (the study of the microscopic anatomy of biological tissues) having worked for many major hospitals including the Red Cross Africa and Starship Hospital in New Zealand. His father is an ex-race car driver, who was one of South Africa's "Rotary Boys" having also dominated American Speedway Racing, racing the country's only Dodge V8 on the circuit for 3 seasons. Roger's Dad is a multiple-time cancer survivor having survived cancer of the prostate, lungs, lymph nodes, bone and spine. Roger has a younger brother Brett, who has a degree in sports science from Auckland University.

Roger started wrestling at the age of 12 as a sporting hobby to help shed a few pounds after spending most of his childhood overweight. He has competed in both amateur & professional wrestling bouts, he is a former national wrestling champion, former New Zealand Wrestler of Year award winner and a 2-time Commonwealth wrestling champion. In 2008 Roger left his job as a personal trainer at Les Mills to make the trip across the Atlantic to Houston, Texas to train with 6-time world champion and WWE hall of famer, Booker T. Roger has wrestled in Los Angeles, California, Orlando, Florida & Houston, Texas as well as every city in Australia. He also currently holds the title for being the first ever kiwi to wrestle for Australia's biggest wrestling promotions; Melbourne City Wrestling and Explosive Pro Wrestling in Perth.

Roger has worked in the supplement industry for the last 17 years, since the age of 17, having worked in every department starting from part-time work, to on-road sales repping, supplement manufacturing and branding all the way to retail and super-store management. He is currently a qualified nutritionist and is extremely passionate and motivated to help his clients find a better understanding about the science of the human body, from peak performance and recovery all the way to natural healing. Roger runs regular Q&As answering client questions at the Ventura Nutrition YouTube channel.

Kylie is from the beautiful Bay of Plenty, having played soccer from a very early age and throughout her teenage years having represented the Eastern Bay of Plenty at premiere level. Both Kylie's parents still live in the Bay, her mum is a cancer survivor, retired living in Edgecumbe and her dad can be found often hosing down his motorhome preparing for his next adventure.

At age 18 Kylie moved to Auckland to pursue a career in hair dressing, where she graduated from the Serville's academy of hair design going on to become the head colourist at Servilles Salon. She eventually parted ways with Servilles to take on a job as a Salon Manager at another award-winning salon in Auckland.

At that intersection of her life however, Kylie found herself spiraling into a depression, which she concealed with partying, drinking and unhealthy lifestyle choices. When she lost her Nana in October 2010 to cancer, Kylie had a wake up call and made the decision to clean up her life. She gave up the drinking and partying, joined a gym and even put together a structured eating plan for herself and pushed full steam ahead into her new clean-living and clean-mentality lifestyle.

In 2012 she entered New Zealand's Next Top Fitness Model, where she beat 44 other contestants to become New Zealand's Next Top Fitness Model. Kylie has since been the face of the NZ Fitness Expo, been featured in magazines such as Fitness Life and Womans Day and has modelled for numerous supplement companies including Nutrigenix from New York and Muscle Food Labs from California. Through this journey Kylie has found her passion and purpose in health and nutrition, going to university to study her Diploma in Nutrition. This total lifestyle transformation has not only helped Kylie improve her own mental health and well being, but she has also used this knowledge with her 3 kids, Spencer (9 years old), Houston (6 years old) and Romeo (3 years old). Through all 3 pregnancies, Kylie carefully structured her eating (having done her 2nd and 3rd pregnancy completely vegetarian) followed by 3 drug-free natural births. She implements her knowledge and beliefs in the home too, coming up with her own 'healthy hacks' and nutrient-rich delicious food for the kids, without the nasty sugars and artificial chemicals like preservatives and fillers (many of which can be found on the @venturanutrition Instagram reels and on our Kylie's Healthy Recipes page.

Roger and Kylie both are usually working 24/7 on website orders and consults with their clients, but they will always make it a priority to set aside family-time for the kids. The Ventura boys love playing games, going on adventures and playing with toys. Their biggest passion is their love for movies and tv shows; the Ventura kids have 2 YouTube channels, where they regularly review and discuss movies as well as watch-alongs and reactions.
